An ugly photograph for an ugly habit.
These jagged shards of broken glass are cemented into the
top of a garden wall. This is a very common security measure in Thailand that,
in a way, is a good re-use of an unwanted material. However, they are usually
placed high up along tall walls and act as a deterrent without the risk of
accidents but these particular “shark’s teeth” are only about 4 feet off the
ground just waiting to snag an unwary hand.
