Buddhist monks always seem so
incongruous in commercial settings but they can be connected as shop owners do
sometimes request a few monks to come and bless their shop particularly when it
first opens. This is all part of the service they provide to the local
community, which is still quite strong, even in Bangkok.
The other connection between the
shop and the monk in this photograph is the happy coincidence of colour.
